Untangled Ledgers Inc. (“we,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this privacy policy (the “Policy”).

This Policy governs your access to and use of untangledledgers.ca, including any content, functionality and services offered on or through jessicanowak.com (the “Site”).

When accessing the Site, we will learn certain information about you, both automatically and through voluntary actions you may take, during your visit. This Policy applies to information we collect on the Site and in email, text, or other electronic messages between you and the Site.

We are providing you with this Policy to inform you of the types of information, including personal information, we collect, as well as our policies and practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of that information and how you can access, modify and/or delete such information.

Please read this Policy carefully before you start to use the Site. By using the Site you accept and agree to be bound and abide by the Policy and consent to the manner in which we may collect, use and disclose the information. If you do not accept and agree to the terms of this Policy, you must stop using the Site immediately and may not further access or use the Site.

You, the user, agrees to indemnify Untangled Ledgers Inc. and the Site against any actions that may result as a use of the Site.

Your use of the Site is at your own risk, no damages will be awarded by Untangled Ledgers Inc. or the Site itself for any reason.

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, and any actions taken will be brought forth in the City of Kelowna.

Children Under the Age Of 18

We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 18. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on the Site, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information.  The Site and its contents are not intended for children under 18 years of age.

What information do we collect about you?

We may collect information about you when you visit and interact with this Site. Some of this information may be automatically collected, and some is collected when you interact with the Site.

We may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name, company, job title and contact information including email address (“Personal Information”).

Information You Provide to Us:  We collect information about you when you voluntarily complete customer surveys, take quizzes or assessments, complete questionnaires or applications, submit your contact information on an opt-in box or contact form, when you fill out forms, book an appointment, contact us, provide comments or other feedback, and when you open our emails or click links on our Site, in our marketing communications or on social media.  Further, we may contact you based on the information you provide in such places as the above described forums.

Of course, you may choose not to provide certain information to us, but if so, you may not be able to participate in certain of the activities and transactions available at the Site.

Information Automatically Collected: We may use automatic data collection technologies including third party services such as Google Analytics to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns. The type of information that may be automatically collected may include date and time of access of the Site, your traffic pattern through our Site, any communications between your computer and our Site, the Internet Protocol (“IP”) address of the computer that you are using, the domain and host from which you access the Internet, the type of computer you use, your Internet connection, your browser software and operating system, and the specific activities you are engaged in while visiting the Site.

The information we collect automatically is used for statistical data, administering the Site and analyzing trends. We use this data to improve our Site and our offerings. To the extent that you voluntarily provide other Personal Information to us, our systems will associate the automatically collected information with your Personal Information.

How will we use the information about you?

We use your Personal Information which you supply to us to provide products or services to you, respond to communications by you, schedule appointments or other bookings, send you our newsletters, share information about promotional materials and other products or services we think you might be interested in (including from third parties), improvement of products and services, analyzing your use of the Site and gathering feedback to enable us to continually improve our Site and your user experience and for use by our employees, affiliates and referral partners, contractors or outside vendors in any of the above activities.

We may also use your Personal Information for record keeping, statutory or contractual requirements, legal obligations or other purposes required by law.

Marketing

We would like to send you information and offers about products and services of ours and other companies that we are affiliated with that may be of interest to you.  If you have consented to receive marketing, we will use your personal information to do that.  We will not, however, send you any unsolicited marketing or spam and will take all reasonable steps to ensure that we fully protect your rights.

Access to your information and correction

We want to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate and up to date.  You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.

You should be aware, however, that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our databases and servers, although we will always make reasonable efforts to do so upon your request, and we are unable to have your information removed from the records of any third party who has been provided with your information in accordance with this Policy.

We may use “cookies” and/or other technologies or files (collectively, “cookies”) to identify how visitors make use of this Site. Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive. However, once you have used these links to leave our Site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information that you provide while visiting such sites, and such sites are not governed by this Policy. This Site may include embedded content (eg. images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. We do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information that you provide while visiting such sites, and such sites are not governed by this Policy. Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, the Company uses software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.

Do we share your data?

Except as otherwise provided in this Policy, we reasonably attempt to ensure that we never intentionally disclose any Personal Information about you as an individual user to any third party without having received your permission (through opting in or similar procedures) except as provided for in this Policy or otherwise as permitted or required under law.

We have the following exceptions to this Policy: We will release specific information about you to comply with any valid requirements of legislation or governmental authority, governmental inquiry or legal inquiry or process. We will also release specific information in special cases, such as if there is an attempted breach of the security of the Sites or a physical or property threat to you or others. We may provide access to your Personal Information to our contractors, vendors and third-party applications that are performing services for us in connection with our Site or the services or products we offer.

We do not require any further consent from you in order to share your data in such circumstances and will comply as required with any legally binding request that is made of us.

In addition, on occasion, we may collect personal consumer information from you in connection with optional contests, special offers or promotions. We will share such information with necessary third parties for the purpose of carrying out the contest, special offer or promotion. Your participation in the contest, special offer or promotion constitutes your consent to such disclosure and use of such information.

Please note that if you give out personal information online such as in a forum, message board or social media, that information is not protected, is visible to the public and other visitors of the Site and can be collected and used by third parties. Although we strive to protect our users’ privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of information you voluntarily post and we have no control over how such third parties may use your information. Sharing of User Content on the Site


When you voluntarily send us emails, questions, testimonials, stories, photos and/or other user content, you are authorizing us to use or post these materials on our Site or in social media.  Please note that we will not return any materials provided to us.

Some or all of your data may be stored or transferred outside of the European Economic Area (“the EEA”). You are deemed to accept and agree to this by using the Site and submitting information to us. If we do store or transfer data outside the EEA, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated safely and securely.

How long we retain

We retain the Personal Information for as long as we need in order to use it as described in this Policy. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. unless otherwise required or allowed by the law.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

We keep our privacy policy under regular review and reserve the right to change the provisions of this Policy at any time. Any changes will be immediately posted on the site, we will alert you that changes have been made by indicating on this Policy the date it was updated. Your continued use of this Site following the posting of changes to this Policy will be deemed to have accepted those changes. We encourage you to review this Policy regularly to keep up to date to make sure that you understand how any Personal Information you provide will be collected, used and disclosed.
